Connecting your first channel

Everything customers send lands in your inbox, whichever way they use. Some ways in work straight away on every plan; others connect an account you already have.

These need nothing connected and work on every plan:

  1. Your inbox email address. Every inbox has its own address, shown on Settings > Inbox. Give it to lead providers and marketplaces, and forward your own mailbox to it. Replies and new leads both arrive there. See Email.
  2. A contact form. Add one to your website, or share a link to one we host. Every message arrives as a lead. See Contact forms.
  3. The website script. Add one script to your website to see which campaign brought each lead. See Adding your website.

All three are in Connections, under Built in, alongside Email sending, where you set up sending from your own domain.

Go to Connections > Lead sources and use Send a test lead. It sends a made-up lead through the same steps a real one takes, and shows you what became of it.

With Pro, owners and admins can connect more ways in under Connections > Your accounts:

  • WhatsApp: chat with customers on WhatsApp Business. See WhatsApp.
  • Facebook and Instagram: Messenger and Instagram messages, and leads from Facebook lead ads. See Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
  • TikTok: leads from your TikTok Instant Form ads.
  • Google Workspace and Microsoft 365: file email with your contacts and reply from your own address.

Calls and texts are built in rather than connected. Owners and admins turn them on in Settings > Calling. See Calls and texts.

  • Everyone can see Lead sources and Email sending.
  • Managers and above set up contact forms and websites.
  • Owners and admins connect accounts, set up calling and verify a sending domain.
