Inviting your team
Owners and admins invite people from Settings > Team. The Free plan is for one person, so you need Pro (or the free trial) to add your team.
Invite someone by email
Section titled “Invite someone by email”- Go to Settings > Team and click Invite people.
- Enter their Email address.
- Choose their Role: Admin, Manager or Staff. See Roles and seats.
- Choose their Seat:
- Full: replies on every channel, owns threads and uses the mobile app.
- Basic: reads every thread and contact in their inboxes, adds internal notes and sees reports, but can’t reply or change threads.
- Optionally fill in Works at to say where they work. This is information only; it never limits what they see.
- Choose their Inboxes. Picking a location suggests the inboxes there.
- Send the invite. The dialog shows how your bill changes before you confirm.
Pending invites stay on the Team page. Use the menu next to one to Send the invite again or Cancel the invite….
Share an invite link
Section titled “Share an invite link”The Invite link card gives you a link anyone can use to ask to join. People who use it show under Asking to join, where you can Let them in… or Decline. Use Reset link if it was shared by mistake, or Turn off to stop it working.
Only allow your business domain
Section titled “Only allow your business domain”On the Team page you can turn on Only allow sign-ins from your business domain. From then on only people with an address on your domain can join, even with an invitation or the invite link. People already in your team stay.
Change or remove someone
Section titled “Change or remove someone”Use the menu next to a person on the Team page to:
- change their role
- Change to a Basic seat… or Change to a Full seat…
- edit their Job title and numbers… for the email signature
- Remove from team…
Only the owner can hand the business to someone else, with Make owner… in the same menu. The new owner takes over, and you become an admin.
When you remove someone, their access stops at once and nothing they did is deleted. You choose who takes their open tasks and scheduled messages, and threads they owned become unassigned. Their name stays in the history, marked “(left)”.
