Contact forms

A contact form lets customers send you a message from your website. Every message lands in your inbox as a lead. Contact forms work on every plan. Managers and above set them up in Connections > Contact forms.

  1. Go to Connections > Contact forms and click Add a contact form.
  2. Give it a Name, such as “Contact page”.
  3. Choose the Inbox that sees the messages it receives.
  4. Choose the Source: what its leads count as in your reports. Website form is the usual choice.
  5. Save. The form’s page opens.

Under Fields, add the fields you want:

  • Ready-made fields, such as name, email address, phone number and message
  • Your own fields, with a Label, Help text and, for a list, Options, one per line

Use the arrows to put them in order, and remove the ones you don’t need.

Under Consent, write the Wording above the tick boxes and add tick boxes for marketing, each with its Tick box wording and what Ticking it means. What each customer ticked is kept as their consent.

Under After sending, write the Message customers see once they’ve sent the form, or give a Page address to send them to your own thank-you page.

Under Add it to your website, choose how to add it:

  • Embed code: paste it into your page where the form should go
  • HTML form: plain HTML you can style yourself
  • Form link: a page we host, which you can link to or share
  • Download QR code: for printed material

List the Websites that can use it, one per line, so it can’t be used anywhere else.

Use Try it out to send a test message, and see recent messages under the form’s submissions for the Last 30 days.

Each form has a Robot check to keep out spam.

Open the form’s menu and choose Archive. It stops taking messages straight away, on your website and on the hosted page. Its leads stay in your inbox, and you can Restore it later.

If someone has copied your form somewhere it shouldn’t be, choose Give it a new key. The old code, link and QR code stop working, so paste the new code into your website.
